Tesco - Garlogie sun down

Every picture tells a story – I started my holidays on Tuesday, I got out to play yesterday, a number of shots will appear shortly, but I didn’t get out to play today, and hereby lies the story. Last Christmas as we were heading south on Boxing Day the ‘Upper Management’ decided there was no point in putting up a Christmas tree, decorations or bothering with Christmas stockings for the kids. My daughter and I were heard to be singing around the house ‘does she know it’s Christmas time at all’. Then the big mistake my daughter and I said we would ‘do Christmas’ this year - ‘school boy & girl error’. So on the way back from Tesco with Christmas provisions, we made a five minute stop at Garlogie to capture the golden light of late afternoon. Preparations are certainly not running as smoothly as under previous management, and I have to confess to having shirked doing the Christmas cards. I better go and check my chores for tomorrow, icing the cake I think is first on the list (after I have snuck out for sunrise - hopefully).

Great shot - don't worry about the trimmings - just relax and enjoy!

Lovely light on the snow.

Hahaha...I did the same a few years ago, never again!! This is a cracking shot Chris, lovely textures in the snow and beautiful light. Don't forget, a cake can wait forever to be iced, a sunrise is unique every morning and must be seized at every and each opportunity...
